Head of Culinary Director at With Taste, Garretts passion for food started young watching his Grandmother baking each weekend. This led him into a career training at Cathal Brugha Street in 1990 and his first professional job was spent in Carne, Co.Wexford at award-winning The Lobster Pot.

On return to Dublin, he started in With Taste in the event catering business and at the time they also had taken over Chapter One where he spent a year as a commis chef.

Garrett worked in various hotels & restaurants in Dublin before emigrating to Sydney, Australia in 1997, whilst there he spent several years at leading caterer Trippas White, Sydney Opera House and a Head Chef role at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Village, which gave him a real taste and experience of large volumes.

Returning from Sydney in 2004, he began his second stint at With Taste. The company had just won major contracts at The Mansion House and RDS and over the years they have been the chosen caterers at The National Gallery, The National Concert Hall and Dublin Castle.

In 2015, Garrett was involved in a new eatery called Eathos, Baggot Street and opened their second one in February this year.

Garrett has cooked for several Presidents, Prime Ministers and world leaders along the way but the real highlight came in 2011 when With Taste were awarded the opportunity in conjunction with Ross Lewis, Chapter One to cook at the State Banquet for Queen Elizabeth 11 in Dublin Castle.

Garrett brings a wealth of knowledge and 30 years experience when leading the team at With Taste for annual events like Bloom and The Dublin Horse Show.
