The 2025 World Steak Challenge culminated at an award ceremony held in London on 10 November at steakhouse Smith & Wollensky, following a two-day judging process in September at Vlees & Co steakhouse in Amsterdam.
This year’s World Steak Challenge honoured 304 outstanding steaks from around the globe, celebrating the very best in quality meat. Following an intensive judging process in Amsterdam, 122 steaks earned gold medals, 109 received silver, and 73 were awarded bronze. A 32-day aged Irish angus striploin that is available in Lidl was named as the World’s Best Steak following the results of the 2025 World Steak Challenge. The steak, from producer Dawn Meats, was also named Europe’s Best Steak and the World's Best Grass-Fed Sirloin. All of this year's winners can be found here.
Attendees to the awards evening will include steak producers, international media, restaurateurs, retail buyers, food service wholesalers, chefs, food bloggers, embassies, breed societies and high-profile influencers.
