Jordy’s career in the meat industry began at the age of fourteen, when he started working as an apprentice butcher in a traditional butcher shop. From the very beginning, he was fascinated by the craft, the quality of the product, and the dynamic nature of the industry. Over the years, he steadily progressed within the meat sector, gaining experience across production, craftsmanship, and commercial roles.
By continuously investing in his knowledge, skills, and personal development, Jordy has held a variety of positions with increasing responsibility throughout the industry. This journey ultimately led to his current role as Sales Director at HVO Meat, where he is responsible for commercial strategy, customer relationships, and supporting the company’s continued growth.
With nearly three decades of experience in the meat industry, Jordy has developed a broad understanding of the entire supply chain, from production and quality management to market development and sales. This combination of hands-on industry experience and commercial expertise enables him to bring valuable insights as a judge at industry competitions and events.
