Born and raised in Genoa, Roberto Costa had a very humble upbringing, working as a child in the family-run Trattoria bought by his father in 1990. Since then, there hasn't been a day that Roberto has not spent inside a restaurant chasing his dream and achieving many goals such as being appointed as Genoese ambassador in the World in 2017 and, as the first Genoese Gourmet Ambassador in 2018.

Owner of 6 restaurants branded Macellaio RC - Italian Steakhouse, thanks to his thirty years of experience in the hospitality industry, he just started a new adventure with his last project called Matooro, an academy for young professionals who want to start and pursue a career in the hospitality industry to be the managers or owners of tomorrow
