Mickaël was named Best Apprentice of France in 2000 and took over his family’s butcher’s shop in Saint-Privat-d’Allier in 2008. In 2018, he achieved one of the highest honours in his profession, earning the prestigious title of Meilleur Ouvrier de France (MOF) in butchery.
Following this achievement, Mickaël joined the French National Butchery Team, where he went on to become World Champion in Beef Innovation. In 2025, serving as co-captain, he helped lead France to victory at the World Team Butchery Championship on home soil.
Passionate about promoting locally sourced meats and maintaining a strong connection to livestock farming, Mickaël expanded the family business with the opening of a second shop in Le Puy-en-Velay in 2021.
Deeply committed to his craft, Mickaël is equally dedicated to sharing his expertise, playing an active role in training, mentoring and inspiring the next generation of butchers.
