Mary Johnson is Meat & Livestock Australia’s Market Access Manager – Europe, representing the interests of Australian beef, sheepmeat and goat meat producers in the UK and EU.
Prior to moving to the UK in January 2020, Mary was a member of MLA’s Market Access team in Sydney, working to reduce barriers to trade via bilateral and multilateral agreements and alleviating the plethora of non-tariff barriers to trade that add cost to the Australian red meat supply chain.
Mary is a past Director of the Future Farmers Network, a non-for-profit organisation that aims to connect, educate and empower young people in the Australian agricultural sector and also has a keen interest in identifying opportunities for the red meat sector to engage globally on non-competitive issues for the betterment of the sector.
Mary also has a personal affiliation with the Australian agricultural sector, with her family farming in southwestern NSW and enjoys cooking, particularly with Australian beef and lamb as the centrepiece.
