I began my career studying Food Science and Technology, which lead me into working in technical, operational and sales roles in ABP, Liffey Meats & Cargill for over 10 years. This background gave me in-depth knowledge of animal procurement and processing for the domestic and European markets.
Following innovation award wins at Sial, I was recruited by Musgrave MarketPlace, Ireland’s leading wholesaler where I have been working happily for 16 years. Initially working as a Trading Manager, I developed a bespoke meat brand offering to suit the Foodservice market. With a focus on quality, consistency, service and value, the brands quickly grew and allowed me the opportunity to work closely with some of the top experts in the hospitality industry. This collaboration helped me to continue to develop our range and my expertise in this sector. As our meat sales grew, I moved to a Meat Specialist role, to focus on making our brand a market leader in meat for the foodservice industry. Success in this role allowed me to hire other Specialists in the areas of meat, world foods and fruit & veg and I became the Manager of our team of Product Specialists.
