Graeme has worked in the hospitality industry for over 40 years as a chef. He taught professional cookery in further education before undertaking his current role of developing qualifications with the Scottish Qualifications Authority.
His job involves creating food-related courses delivered to high school pupils and butchers working in the industry. In doing so, he works closely with the National Skills Academy for Food and Drink, Quality Meat Scotland, and Scottish Craft Butchers. He judges in national competitions, including the World Haggis Championships and Q Guild’s Smithfield Awards.
A trustee of the Dundee Bairns charity, which addresses child poverty in the city, he’s a keen advocate of giving people the knowledge to understand and enjoy food.
