From an agricultural background, Susan is both a qualified and experienced farmer and horticulturalist passionately interested in the provenance of food across the natural farming landscape in Ireland.
During her formative years she trained and worked in beef, tillage and the agri-food sector. In the ensuing years she gained extensive experience in horticulture, ornamental and botanical, culminating in a three-year tenure at RBG Kew.
Susan is currently pursuing specialised postgraduate studies in biological recording and ecological monitoring at Manchester Metropolitan University. She is keen to explore the influence of our traditional breeds and more regenerative grazing systems on the eating quality of our beef. In so doing Susan is seeking a way to contribute proactively towards a more balanced and viable family farm and food system.
