Catherine has worked within the family business since a child learning all the skills from her father. The business has been established since 1878, Catherine is the 5th generation and the only woman so far in her family to take over the abattoir.

Since taking over in 2016, she has kept all the traditions of a local butcher but made them available across the UK via their website www.bestonlinebutcher.co.uk.

Catherine continues to work with local farmers in the area to ensure they have a Welsh product with full traceability and low food miles.
