Terms of Entry

  • Entrants must be cattle farmers, suppliers, or producers of farmed cattle, or suppliers of meat products from farmed cattle for retail and/or foodservice outlets. Retailers may enter on behalf of suppliers. Employees of the Organiser, their families, agents, or anyone professionally connected with the Awards are not eligible to enter.
  • Entries must be submitted online at www.worldsteakchallenge.com. The entry form must be completed in full and received together with the entry fee no later than Monday 20th July 2026.
  • The cost per steak to enter is EUR 771 (+ VAT as applicable).
  • Entrants who notify the Organiser that they wish to withdraw their entry prior to Monday 20th July 2026 will receive a full refund of their entry fee. Entrants withdrawing after that date will not receive any refund.

  • Entrants must send enough meat to provide six (6) steaks per entry, to be delivered to the judging venue: Vlees & Co, Albert Molhof 1, 1031 JK Amsterdam, Netherlands. Entries from outside the EU must comply with EU import conditions; full rules and regulations can be found on the relevant EU authority websites.
  • Entrants may submit more than one entry.
  • Entrants are responsible for all delivery costs, including any excise duties, relating to their entry.
  • Steaks must be from an animal born, raised, and slaughtered in a single country of origin, and must comply with all relevant legislation.
  • There is no maximum or minimum maturation limit for the steaks.
  • Steaks entered for judging must be fit for human consumption on Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th September 2026.
  • The entrant shall have sole liability in respect of the steaks, including their consumption by the judges. All steaks must be pre-packaged and labelled in accordance with applicable product safety regulations in the jurisdiction where judging takes place, and must not be misleading.
  • The entrant shall indemnify and hold the Organiser harmless against all costs, claims, demands, proceedings, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or connected with the distribution of the steaks for judging and, where applicable, service at the event.
  • Steaks will be grilled in accordance with the Organiser’s directions.
  • Judging will take place in accordance with the criteria set out on the competition website, with results announced on 10th September 2026. Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded at the judges’ discretion, with an overall winner selected from the Gold medal recipients as the World Steak Challenge – World’s Best Steak.
  • All companies with a Gold-winning steak will be presented with a Gold medal on the night. Additional trophies may be purchased post-event. Silver and Bronze certificates will be emailed to winning entrants after the event upon request.
  • If a medal or trophy is awarded, duplicate copies may be ordered through the World Steak Challenge Events Team, subject to approval. All duplicate items must be ordered and paid for by Thursday 10th December 2026. After this date, additional copies will no longer be available.
  • Gold Medal: £210 + VAT & delivery
  • World’s Best Fillet / Ribeye / Sirloin / Wagyu or Continent Trophy: £540 + VAT & delivery
  • World’s Best Steak Trophy: £600 + VAT & delivery
  • The overall winner is licensed to use the title “World Steak Challenge – World’s Best Steak” from the date of announcement. All award winners may use the relevant awards logo indefinitely, provided the year is clearly stated. Logos must not be altered and must be approved by the Organiser prior to use.
  • The Organiser reserves the right to change the judging panel without prior notice.
  • The Organiser’s decision on all matters relating to the competition is final and legally binding.
  • No correspondence will be entered into.
  • All entries become the property of the Organiser and will not be returned. Any unused meat will be donated to charities working with the judging partner.
  • If entrants provide images as part of their entry, they confirm they hold all necessary rights and grant the Organiser a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, distribute, and display the images in connection with the Awards.
  • Entrants consent to the publication of any documents or materials submitted as part of their entry.
  • Winners may be required to take part in post-event publicity and agree to their name and photographs being used for these purposes.
  • By entering the competition, entrants accept these rules and consent to the transfer of personal data to the Data Controller for administration of the competition and related agreed purposes.
